Gary Leo

Gary Leo, Fundraising Expert

Gary Leo has a track-record of creating extraordinary results for major national and international philanthropic organizations. He has broad experience in creating breakthrough fundraising strategies as well as training and empowerment facilitation of non-profits' boards and staff.

In his 35 years of working with non-profits, Gary has done it all, from the ground up. He has successfully driven innovative strategic plans for health, social service and educational institutions that have raised more than $250 million. He has also managed and supervised hundreds of fundraisers, communications professionals, program planners, executive personnel and volunteers.

Gary currently serves as National Director of Development for the U.S. - Israel Binational Science Foundation (BSF). Prior to the BSF, Gary served as president and chief executive officer of The ALS Association. He grew this national healthcare research organization from revenues of $32 million to an astounding $50 million in less than four years.

Gary was previously senior vice president for development at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. During his four year tenure he increased major endowments by more than 100%. Gary has also served as national vice president and executive director of the Western Region of the American Society for Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where he completed a three-year, $40 million capital campaign at $3 million over goal.

Gary holds a master's degree in social work administration from Rutgers University in New Jersey, a master's degree in educational administration from New York University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Queens College in New York. We're proud to have him on the team.
